Here at Street Fiends, we love old cars, and that definitely does not exclude the real classic hot rods, either. Case in point: Russ’s 1955 Chevy 210 Del Ray.
This ’55 Chevy has some extra cool parts, including a 383 stroker motor, and a 4-speed manual. It’s gone through basically an entire restoration under Russ’s ownership, and it looks pretty stunning. It now has a tubbed rear end for extra fat tires, a custom interior with tilt wheel and stereo system, and some power disc brakes for much-needed stopping power.
Russ shared some background information on his ride:
“My friend Doug Fief told me his Dad had the car I was looking for. We actually left an anniversary party to go look at it. We agreed on a price and I went to pick up the car and all the extra parts one week later. This was my dream restoration project. Just didn’t think I would be able to afford one until I was older. Body style, history, and hood ornament are some of my favorite features.”
Russ still has some plans for the future of his Chevy, including a Flamthrower exhaust, and a line lock, “for killer burnouts!” We like that, and want to see pictures!
Want to meet Russ on streets? Russ attends car shows all over the Phoenix valley, but one of his favorite cruise-ins is the Goodguys show in Scottsdale, and the West Valley Cruisers club, which often meets on Saturday nights.
Thanks for sharing your car, Russ, and we hope to see more of your other project cars very soon! Want to share your ride with Street Fiends? Click here to submit your ride!
